Ecobiotech is an online scientific journal launched in 2018. The journal was established by a spearhead group based on their years-long experience in holding international conferences. These conferences revealed a need in a journal that would operate as a ground for regular exchange of research data devoted to ecology and biotechnology. The journal's topics would range from micro levels to particular beings, cenosis and biosphere. The initiative of the spearhead group was supported by the Academic Council of the Institute of Biology under the Ufa Research Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Due to rearrangements in 2020, the Ufa Federal Research Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences was announced the founder and the publisher of the journal.
The journal is designed for professional biology academicians for ecology, biotechnology and cross-disciplinary studies.
The journal is issued four times a year. The first issue is due on March 29, the second issue is due on June 29, the third issue is due on September 29, and the fourth issue is due on December 29.
The editorial board of Ecobiotech is inviting researchers to become authors or reviewers.
The journal publishes only papers never published elsewhere before.
The publications are in Russian and English.
The journal accepts the following types of publications:
- theoretical articles and overviews;
- original literature reviews;
- articles on new research methods;
- brief essays;
- information on research conferences, seminars and meetings;
- monograph or book reviews;
- articles devoted to commemorative dates or anniversaries;
- reports on past research events (symposia, conferences and other significant research events);
- experts' comments to previously published articles (discussions);
- letters to the editor.
If agreed upon with the Editor-in-Chief, the journal may publish articles on the history of science, if the raised issues appear fundamental for the contemporary interpretations in ecology and biotechnology.
Publication is free of charge.
The journal has been indexed by the Russian Science Citation Index since 2018.
Since 2018 the articles have been assigned a DOI (prefix 10.31163)
Ecobiotech adheres to Open Access.
