Cyclodextrins: From Bacteria to Technology

Dear colleagues!

We invite you to participate in the multidisciplinary Special Issue “Cyclodextrins: From Bacteria to Technology” of the peer-reviewed electronic journal “Ecobiotech” (ISSN 2618-964X, https://ecobiotech-journal.ru/ ). The thematic issue will cover manuscripts on various areas of biotechnology and cyclodextrin applications, including the latest results in the production and enzymology, cyclodextrin chemistry, synthesis and key characteristics of new CD and their complexes in the food, cosmetics, and other industries, as well as in ecological technologies.

This special issue is dedicated to Nikolai Glebovich Usanov, PhD, scientist, researcher, inventor, and patent author, in honor of the 70th anniversary of his birth in 1956. He was one of Russia’s leading developers of cyclodextrin biotechnology, devoting much of his scientific career to these cyclic carbohydrates.

2026 is a milestone in the history of cyclodextrins – 135 years since their discovery by the French chemist and pharmacist A. Villiers.

Kurchenko V.P., Associate Professor, PhD, Head of the Research Laboratory of Applied Biology at the Belarusian State University (Minsk, Republic of Belarus), will be serve as the Special Issue Editor.
