This scientific article presents the results of non-injection administration of levofloxacin as part of poorly soluble cyclodextrin complexes with a silica gel, enterosgel, or chitosan matrix, which were used to create therapeutic and preventive feeds for healing incised wounds of the skin of valuable commercial fish. Quantitative assessment of the microbial load on the surface of the wound, determination of the total microbial count, the proportion of lactic acid bacteria, and a molecular genetic study of the composition and abundance of the microbiome of the hindgut of fish using the qPCR method demonstrated the greatest effectiveness of silica gel-β-cyclodextrin complexes with a 20% content of levofloxacin and enterosgel-ß‑cyclodextrin with 20% and 15% for wound healing hydrobionts. By the end of the observations, the microflora of the large intestine of fish is characterized by a confident recovery and a multiple increase in the number of lactic acid bacteria and peptostreptococci, which regulate recovery and immune processes. The use of silica gel-β-cyclodextrin and enterosgel-β‑cyclodextrin is promising for the targeted delivery of levofloxacin because it increases the bioavailability of the antibiotic, reduces its negative impact on the fish body and the ecosystem, and reduces the risks of developing bacterial resistance.
