Summary:
2026 is an important year for Ufa fundamental science. Seventy-five years ago, the Bashkir Branch of the USSR Academy of Sciences (BFAN) (Ufa Federal Research Centre of the Russian Academy of Sciences (UFIZ RAS)) and the Agrobiological Institute of the Bashkir branch of the USSR Academy of Sciences (Ufa Institute of Biology, UFSC RAS) were founded. This article provides a short history of the UFSC RAS and UIB UFSC RAS and information on the 75th anniversary celebrations of these scientific organisations.
