The characteristic of the perspective monument of nature «Mountain Bikmash» is given. The purpose of this protected natural area is the conservation of populations of rare plant species and reference carbonate stony steppes. Mountain Bikmash is located in the Ishimbai district of Republic of Bashkortostan. The General flora includes more than 100 species of vascular plants. The uniqueness of the mountain is that its flora is extremely rich in endemic and relict species. The endemic element of the flora is represented by 9 species (Elytrigia reflexiaristata, Dianthus acicularis, Lathyrus litvinovii, Poa korshinskyi and others). The relict element of the flora is represented by 8 species (Bupleurum multinerve, Schivereckia hyperborea, Thalictrum foetidum and others). Three species are included in the Red book of the Russian Federation [2008]: Koeleria sclerophylla, Minuartia krascheninnikovii, Stipa pennata; four species are included in the Red book of Republic of Bashkortostan [2011]: Helianthemum baschkirorum Koeleria sclerophylla, Minuartia krascheninnikovii, Stipa pennata. The parameters (number and ontogenetic structure) of the studied populations of 5 rare species (Bupleurum multinerve, Dianthus acicularis, Minuartia krascheninnikovii, Helianthemum baschkirorum, Koeleria sclerophylla) are given, and their condition is evaluated. Mountain Bikmash is a key object of the Toratau Geopark, has significant scientific and environmental significance, and is of great interest as a promising object of educational tourism.
