Summary:
The tetM gene was screened in microorganisms of industrial ecotopes of the Republic of Bashkortostan. The tetM gene encoding the ribosome protection was detected by PCR in the bacteria of Xanthomonas genus. In the proteobacteria genomes of Enterobacter, Citrobacter, Gluconobacter, Raoultella, Rhodococcus and Serratia genera tetM-like sequences were not found.
