Summary:
The influence of the distribution of elements of mineral nutrients in the environment on the yield and intensity of the root system of plants on two contrasting varieties of spring durum wheat was compared. Against the background of local fertilizer placement plants are less sensitive to drought compared to broadcast. Uneven distribution of mineral nutrients most clearly stimulates an increase in the length, weight and surface of the roots of varieties with a weak root system, which leads to a more noticeable increase in its drought resistance.
