The issues of conservation of rare endemic species Oxytropis kungurensis Knjasev in situ in the Republic of Bashkortostan (Uchalinsky district) are considered in the article. At present, only one locality of this species has territorial conservation (the high-altitude population of the species growing on the territory of the South Ural Nature Reserve). The five natural populations of O. kungurensis are monitored Since 2002, reintroduction experiments have been carried out to restore and increase the number and area of 2 populations – on the eastern shore of the lake Aushkul and on the mountain Buzkhangai. The are 75 plants in all experiments in 2018, 18.7% of them are generative. There is a massive death of seedlings and juvenile plants due to lack of moisture. The necessary conservation measures are the establishment of 4 designed monuments of nature, conducting further monitoring and organizing perennial biotechnical measures to create sustainable populations of O. kungurensis
