Аннотация:

Настенная живопись в памятниках архитектуры может подвергаться деструктивному воздействию микроорганизмов. В числе деструкторов настенной живописи чаще всего упоминаются бактерии и микроскопические грибы.

Данная работа посвящена выявлению возможных причин возникновения поверхностной патины на фресках Софийского собора Вологодского кремля. С этой целью был изучен состав сообщества микроорганизмов на поверхности живописи, а также в воздушной среде Собора. Отбор проб проводился неповреждающими методами под контролем сотрудников Вологодского музея-заповедника. Особое внимание было уделено белесой патине, покрывающей стены с фресковой живописью на значительной площади. Выделенные микроорганизмы были идентифицированы по морфологическим признакам и молекулярным маркерам.

Поскольку образование белесой патины на поверхности фресок может быть связано с активностью микроорганизмов, приводящей к отложению вторичного кальцита (подобная картина известна на фресках в Италии), были проведены эксперименты по оценке способности выделенных микроорганизмов (бактерий и микроскопических грибов) к образованию кальцита. Сканирующую электронную микроскопию использовали для выявления и описания кристаллических структур кальцита, образовавшихся в модельных системах с грибами и бактериями.

В результате проведенных исследований было показано, что выделенные микроорганизмы (грибы и бактерии) способны к образованию вторичного кальцита. В пробах с поверхности фресок доминировала бактерия Bacillus siamensis. Выделенный штамм B. siamensis проявил наибольшую кальцифицирующую активность в моделируемых условиях. При этом глобулы формирующегося кальцита были значительно крупнее, чем в случае с грибами. Процесс кристаллизации кальцита зависел от рН и состава питательной среды. Полученные данные позволяют говорить о возможной роли микроорганизмов в формировании поверхностных отложениях на фресках Софийского собора.
